Expeditor - Supply Chain (Part-Time) Location: Hastings, NE Pay: Up to $25/hour Hire Type: 12-Month Contract | Potential Contract-to-Hire Schedule: Part-Time, Up to 30 Hours Per Week Hours: Flexible scheduling between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Lunch: Flexible, up to 1 hour Sterling Engineering is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturing company seeking a Part-Time Expeditor to support purchasing and supply chain operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with suppliers, tracking purchase orders, and maintaining accurate reporting. What You'll Do Follow up with domestic and international suppliers regarding purchase orders, delivery schedules, and order status.Run daily reports and distribute open purchase order reports to suppliers.Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to support purchasing activities.Issue and monitor purchase orders for MRO supplies, C-Class materials, and other purchasing needs.Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports.Update purchasing records and track supplier delivery information.Work closely with Buyers and Supply Chain teams to resolve order issues and support timely deliveries.Follow company purchasing, safety, and compliance procedures. What We're Looking For Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, expediting, or supply chain support preferred.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of related experience preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Basic data analysis and reporting skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills when working with suppliers and internal teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Proactive approach to following up on orders and resolving delivery issues.
