Expeditor

About the Role

The Expeditor role is a fast-paced environment where prioritization, organization, and communication are critical. You will work within a dynamic operations team to provide first-class product support to customers, turning pressure situations from chaos to calm while ensuring customer satisfaction. Strong internal and external relationship-building skills are essential, with an emphasis on teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Obtain delivery information (may utilize online vendor access) for sales representatives to process customer quotes.
• Expedite past due deliveries from suppliers, prioritizing products with existing customer requirements, and respond to sales representatives.
• Verify P.O. confirmations are processed correctly; ensure P.O.’s requiring special handling are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Respond with urgency to any request or issue, providing information and/or resolution promptly to the appropriate people.
• Interact with all suppliers, internal and external customers in a friendly, timely, and helpful manner.
• Run daily and monthly reports.
• Assist with special projects and data entry.
• Exhibit strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Recognize potential problems and react quickly and effectively.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Display reliability, trustworthiness, and proactive teamwork.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Some Planning, Purchasing, or Customer Service experience is preferred, particularly in “business-to-business” activity.
• Excellent typing and data processing skills.
• Intermediate to advanced PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with business management software, including MRP2, inventory management, etc., is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and master internal Planning and Purchasing computer systems.
• Strong team and human relation skills.
• Punctuality and dependability are crucial.
