About the Role
The expeditor is the crucial link between our kitchen and the customer, ensuring orders are prepared promptly, meet Nando’s standards, and reach the right customer. They also prepare and package take-out orders, serving as the final point of interaction for this important customer base. Expeditors must be organized, efficient, and maintain a professional, polite, and reliable demeanor. They work closely with the team to exceed guest expectations and deliver the Nando’s experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner and meet Nando’s standards
- Deliver orders to the correct customers
- Prepare and package take-out orders
- Serve as the final interaction with take-out customers
- Maintain organization and efficiency while providing warm and gracious service
- Work with the team to exceed guest expectations
Requirements
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Commitment to quality service and food/beverage knowledge
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Basic English language and professional communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 15lbs independently for extended periods
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout the shift
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Hand-eye coordination
- Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping
- Pushing and pulling
- Lifting overhead
- Must be able to climb stairs in multi-level restaurants
