About the role

The expeditor is the link between our kitchen and the customer. Expeditors ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner, meet Nando’s standards, and reach the right customer. They also prepare and package take-out orders and serve as the final interaction with this important customer base. Our expeditors are organized, efficient, professional, polite, and reliable, working quickly while remaining warm and gracious guides to our restaurants. They collaborate with the team to exceed guests’ expectations and deliver the Nando’s experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time while meeting Nando’s quality standards
• Prepare and package take-out orders accurately
• Maintain professional, polite, and reliable interactions with customers
• Work efficiently under pressure while upholding food safety and sanitation procedures
• Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to exceed guest expectations

Requirements

• Ability to take direction and work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Commitment to quality service and knowledge of food and beverage standards
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
• Basic English language and professional communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Able to independently lift up to 15 lbs for extended periods
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout an 8–10 hour shift
• Hand-eye coordination for tasks requiring precision
• Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Lifting overhead and climbing stairs in multi-level restaurants
