About the Role
The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant will support the dental team in providing comprehensive oral healthcare services to patients. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care coordination
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment
- Administer local anesthesia
- Perform basic dental procedures under supervision
- Manage patient records and scheduling
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Florida Dental Assistant license
- Experience in a dental setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about community health
