Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - Brownsburg Family Dentistry

About the role

Brownsburg Family Dentistry is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their dedicated team. The position is available Tuesday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Aid the dentist during various treatment procedures
• Perform expanded functions such as restorative procedures, coronal polishing, and sealant placement
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient visits
• Provide chairside assistance and support to the dental team
• Take and develop dental radiographs
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) and X-ray Certification (Required) in Indiana

Qualifications

• Experience: New graduates welcome
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated, punctual, and team player
• Preferred: Open Dental experience
• Proficiency in dental assistant terminology and procedures
