About the Role

Join our team as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) responsible for supporting dental providers with advanced clinical functions, patient record management, and oral health education in a community-focused health organization. This role is vital in expanding access to high-quality, equitable dental care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct X-ray procedures and periodontal charting
  • Prepare instruments and perform preventive care, including polishing and fluoride treatments
  • Assist with orthodontic tasks
  • Ensure infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
  • Maintain a sterile environment
  • Interact professionally with patients, staff, and providers, providing respectful and compassionate care

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Oregon EFDA certification
  • BLS certification (within 90 days of hire)
  • Proficiency in dental terminology, infection control, and basic computer skills

Qualifications

  • Bilingual abilities preferred at a high level
