About the Role
Join our team as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) responsible for supporting dental providers with advanced clinical functions, patient record management, and oral health education in a community-focused health organization. This role is vital in expanding access to high-quality, equitable dental care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct X-ray procedures and periodontal charting
- Prepare instruments and perform preventive care, including polishing and fluoride treatments
- Assist with orthodontic tasks
- Ensure infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Interact professionally with patients, staff, and providers, providing respectful and compassionate care
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Oregon EFDA certification
- BLS certification (within 90 days of hire)
- Proficiency in dental terminology, infection control, and basic computer skills

- Bilingual abilities preferred at a high level
