Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

About the role

This position is located at 333 S Madison St. in Muncie. Open Door Health Services is seeking a full-time Expanded Duty Dental Assistant.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Places and completes restoration specified by the dentist.
• Absorb and prepare patients for dentist’s complete examination.
• Assists in patient flow through the clinic and escorts patients to operatory rooms.
• Assists dentist hygienist with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed.
• Takes radiographs upon proof of certification.
• Sterilizes instruments as assigned.
• Taking and pouring models, trimming.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalence.
• Graduation from an accredited Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Program.
• Two years of work experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high volume, comprehensive care setting.
• Training equivalent to an accredited Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Program.
• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred.
• Prefer current x-ray certification.
