Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

About the role

Provide comprehensive dental care services under the supervision of licensed dentists. Assist in patient examinations, treatments, and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient examinations and diagnostic procedures
• Administer local anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
• Prepare treatment areas and sterilize instruments
• Administer medications and perform other patient care duties
• Document patient visits and treatment plans

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current license to practice dental assisting in your state
• Experience in a dental office setting preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficient in dental terminology and procedures
• Knowledgeable in infection control protocols
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
