About the role

Highpointe Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join their team. They are a Heartland Dental supported office offering career satisfaction, continuing educational opportunities, and a supportive work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain patient comfort, soothe upset patients, listen to their needs and educate them on dental procedures
  • Manage clinical supplies
  • Work efficiently to maintain the supported dentist’s schedule
  • Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies
  • Organize and maintain lab equipment
  • Take and develop X-rays
  • Provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent patient care skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
  • Dental assisting school certificate is required
  • Previous work experience of 2+ years as a dental assistant is required
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Flexible and open-minded with a desire to elevate patient and team experience
  • Highly collaborative and reliable with consistent work attendance
  • Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
  • Absorb and improve clinical skills through continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental

Qualifications

  • As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills.

Pay

Competitive pay based on experience and certifications

Schedule

Full-time; Monday-Wednesday 7:45-5:00; Thursday 6:00-4:00; Every other Friday 7:45-1:00; No weekends!
