About the role
Highpointe Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join their team. They are a Heartland Dental supported office offering career satisfaction, continuing educational opportunities, and a supportive work culture.
Responsibilities
- Sustain patient comfort, soothe upset patients, listen to their needs and educate them on dental procedures
- Manage clinical supplies
- Work efficiently to maintain the supported dentist’s schedule
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies
- Organize and maintain lab equipment
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients
Requirements
- A positive and outgoing personality
- Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent patient care skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Good manual dexterity
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
- Dental assisting school certificate is required
- Previous work experience of 2+ years as a dental assistant is required
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexible and open-minded with a desire to elevate patient and team experience
- Highly collaborative and reliable with consistent work attendance
- Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
- Absorb and improve clinical skills through continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental

- As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills.

Pay
Competitive pay based on experience and certifications
Schedule
Full-time; Monday-Wednesday 7:45-5:00; Thursday 6:00-4:00; Every other Friday 7:45-1:00; No weekends!
