Exotic Animal Intern

About the role

Animal Gardens Petting Zoo is seeking internships from October 2026 to April 2027. This opportunity is ideal for those interested in the animal industry, offering hands-on training and care for various exotic animals including mini-pigs, monkeys, raccoons, skunks, bobcats, foxes, deer, llamas, goats, donkeys, and wolves. Interns also assist with bottle-feeding baby animals.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on training and care for exotic animals such as mini-pigs, monkeys, raccoons, skunks, bobcats, foxes, deer, llamas, goats, donkeys, and wolves.
• Feeding and caring for the animals.
• Preparing narratives for presentations to guests and children's field trips.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Some knowledge of all phases of exotic animal care.
• A 4-6 month commitment is preferred.
