Exercise Physiologist - PRN - Days - St. John Hospital

Responsibilities

• Implements and supervises physical exercise programs for patients.
• Provides patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
• Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen.
• Makes plans and revises exercise therapy plans based on patient responses.
• Recognizes and responds to contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise.
• Speaks and educates about exercise therapy to patients, peers, and the community.
• Maintains and calibrates department equipment.
• Prepares, develops, and maintains various files, records, reports; schedules patient appointments as required.
• Oversees department activities in the absence of the manager.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• American Heart Association Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Stress testing experience preferred.
