Department: UCHlthMG L Cardio Pulm Rehab
Work Schedule: Part Time, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient safety and monitors patient tolerance of exercise in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Develops and updates exercise prescriptions for patients based on assessment data, patient status, and current medication regimen.
- Recognizes and addresses contraindications to exercise and abnormal patient responses.
- Provides exercise and disease management education to patients, peers, and the community.
- Works in a fast-paced environment and takes appropriate action within the scope of the job.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
- PREFERRED: Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
- Minimum Experience: None required.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
