Exercise Physiologist

About the role

Under the supervision of the Manager and/or supervisor of Cardiopulmonary Rehab, this position plans, organizes, and implements the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, and the Fitness First program.

Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, and the Fitness First program under the supervision of the Manager and/or supervisor of Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
• Ensures adherence to established protocols and standards for patient care.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Participates in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new developments in rehabilitation medicine.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a professional Exercise Physiology curriculum accredited by the National accreditation body of that organization.
• Must hold at least a Bachelor's degree.
• CPR certification required.
• Must have ACLS certification within 1 year of employment.

Qualifications

• PREFERRED: Master's degree
• PREFERRED: ACLS certification beyond the initial 1-year requirement
• PREFERRED: Experience as an EP in a hospital setting and/or completion of an EP internship
• PREFERRED: Certification by ACSM
• PREFERRED: Professional organization membership
