Pay range: $64,000.00 - $128,000.00. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

As a General Merchandise & Food Sales Executive Team Leader, you will lead operations, process, and efficiency to enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. This role oversees inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store, including Food & Beverage and Food Service. You will also lead pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work to ensure efficient delivery to guests.
Responsibilities
- Drive total store sales and understand your role in sales growth, including how your departments and team contribute to and impact total store profitability
- Manage Food & Beverage, food services (if applicable), inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all GM areas of the store
- Lead a team of experts in operations, accuracy, and efficiency to enable efficient delivery to guests, including pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work
- Develop and execute a strategy using workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload, ensuring the store is guest-ready at all times
- Conduct regular check-ins with your team to ensure completion of tasks and workload
- Manage all GM backroom and sales floor areas, review reporting to identify gaps, and develop plans to resolve issues
- Oversee GM Team Leaders' workload planning, including transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all GM areas
- Drive fulfillment sales by leading the Fulfillment team to accurately and efficiently fulfill orders and deliver on guest promises
- Foster a culture centered in food safety, training, validating, and coaching the team to execute all food safety standards and cleaning routines
- Lead an efficient operation to fund the sales culture
- Oversee Food & Beverage Team Leader’s workload planning, including transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling, and promotions
- Create a guest-obsessed culture that prioritizes the guest experience and delivers on store sales goals
- Assess the competition, leverage guest insights and feedback to drive business, and position the store as the destination of choice
- Work a schedule that aligns with guest and business needs, including early morning, evening, overnight shifts, and weekends
- Ensure a consistent guest experience by maintaining in-stock, fresh, available, food-safe, accurately priced, and signed products on the sales floor with minimal guest disruption
- Assess all GM and Food & Beverage backroom and sales floor areas, walk Food & Beverage Standards to assess food priorities, and review reporting to identify and resolve gaps
- Plan, lead, and follow up on organizational and operational change
- Anticipate and identify changes in unique store trends
- Develop and coach your team to elevate their skills and expertise
- Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management; actively develop, coach, and train your team
- Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan, and recruit both long-term and short-term team members
- Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs
- Demonstrate and promote a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; hold others accountable to these standards
- As a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes
- Address store needs, including emergencies and regulatory visits
Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Ability to manage conflict, lead, and hold others accountable
- Ability to relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision-making, financial, and quantitative analysis

- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds

Skills
- Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building and managing a guest-first culture
- Knowledge of retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, freshness and quality, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions strategies
- Experience setting and planning department(s) monthly/quarterly workload to support business priorities and managing a team to deliver on sales goals
- Knowledge of the competition and ability to leverage insights to drive business objectives
- Experience managing a team of hourly team members and leaders, creating business-specific strategies and goals
- Skills in recruiting, selecting, and talent management of hourly team members and leaders
