About the role
The Executive Team Leader - Assets Protection (Assistant Manager Loss Prevention) role at Target is designed to empower team members to build and develop skills for a career. This role involves creating and managing a security culture, leading strategic AP goals and strategies, identifying and developing strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, and guiding AP team leaders in your district/market.
Responsibilities
- Deliver guest experience commitments
- Hold TLs accountable to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Review area guest, financial, and team metrics to identify gaps and understand team behaviors
- Manage identification and resolution of internal investigations
- Create and lead a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning
- Train your team to provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Apprehend subjects consistent with company policy as needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely (including lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds)
- Climb up and down ladders
- Manage identification and resolution of external theft incidents and investigations
- Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs, based on security and theft patterns
Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements for the position
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Comfortable dealing with and managing teams through ambiguity
- Comfortable managing conflict, leading and holding others accountable
- Relate well with and interact professionally with all levels of the organization
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Independently manage workload and prioritize tasks
Qualifications
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
