Executive Protection Security Driver –Associate
About the Role
As a valued colleague on our team, you will collaborate with team members to provide and report on activities to ensure organizational compliance with security operations programs and procedures. In this role, you will contribute to working with outside vendors to ensure the security of Fannie Mae's facilities.
This position is based in Washington, DC Midtown and may require up to 10% travel.
Responsibilities
- Transport designated executives assigned to the Executive Protection Program to and from corporate facilities, special events, and specified locations within the local and outlying DMV area.
- Identify and avoid potential hazardous or life-threatening situations and provide cover to remove passengers from harm to a safe location (e.g., plan routes, implement diversion plans for safe conveyance).
- In an emergency, expedite movement of executive(s) into the vehicle for rapid departure.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding Corporate Executives, including contact information, residence locations, and residence security systems.
- Communicate schedule information and updates to administrative assistants as requested.
- Follow company safety procedures and practices, including the use of company cars for business and recording mileage.
- Perform miscellaneous transport service requests and maintain the appearance and operation of company vehicles used for executive protection.
- Maintain the vehicle schedule and arrange proper maintenance and service as required.
- Be certified in administering CPR, using a Heart Defibrillator, and providing first aid; ability to drag a person from the vehicle to a prone position to administer aid.
- Attend defensive driver training class once a year.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements
- Military experience OR law enforcement experience OR extensive private sector experience in executive driving, along with certified emergency driving courses and training.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the DMV area and traffic patterns, especially Midtown DC.
- Valid state driver’s license with a 5-year safe driving record; highly technical driving skills, expertise in driving regulations, and knowledge of basic automobile mechanics.
- Ability to function and use sound judgment in high-profile situations, including strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills to handle and prioritize executive requests vs. other duties.
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Prior Executive Driver experience.
- HR218 certification.
- Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Education: GED or equivalent.
Pay
Target salary range: $69,000 to $91,000 a year. Final salaries will vary within this range based on factors including skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
