Executive Protection Consultant

Your Impact
The Executive Protection Consultant role reports to the Senior Director of Global Security. The primary function of this role is to provide protection for executive leadership. The associate will complete domestic and international travel, conduct protective advances, transport executives when required, perform building security surveys, and partner with law enforcement. The associate will be responsible for always utilizing proper protective services skills. This role is critical to maintaining a safe and secure environment for executive leadership in a wide range of physical and geographic locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop security techniques and coordinate the execution of protection processes and resources for executive leadership
- Assess threats and make recommendations for improving security procedures
- Maintain a 24-hour on-call status, with expected response capability available to provide immediate assistance to the Executive staff related to security, safety, and medical emergencies (including last-minute travel)
- Prepare executive communications, reports, and brief executives on safety and security protocols
- Manage advance preparations and security assessments of sites and events to ensure proper and efficient threat-based security measures
- Partner with corporate events on the planning and logistics around company-sponsored events to ensure security matters and executive participation are adequately addressed
- Engage with stakeholders to identify risk and control improvements for remediation
- Direct, plan, and carry out complex and sensitive operations and projects
- Meet established metrics, goals, and objectives. Identify, track, and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities
- Liaison with Federal, state, and local law enforcement
- Review, recommend, and obtain equipment and technology necessary to enhance the executive protection assignment
- Assess residential security and recommend mitigation strategies. Assess social media-related facets of executive protection security
- When necessary, responsible for corporate event-related security
- Maintain proficiency in the areas of defensive driving, self-defense, and firearm matters
- Conduct investigations into security incidents/breaches regarding corporate security and/or other investigative matters
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- 10 years of experience in either law enforcement, military, and/or security field
- 5 years of demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in providing personal protection to an individual in various environments
- 10 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in criminal law and procedure and the use of force continuum
- 5 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting domestic and international security advances
- 5 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting criminal investigations
- Current and valid driver’s license and passport
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of experience liaising with local, federal, and state law enforcement agencies
- ASIS International certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
