Executive Producer – Podcast & Storytelling (Volunteer)

About the role

The Executive Producer will lead the development of LoopRoots Foundation's podcast and storytelling platform, LoopStories: From the Inside Out. The role involves shaping powerful narratives, guiding meaningful conversations, and translating the organization's mission into compelling content.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the overall podcast format, structure, and storytelling framework
• Define the tone, voice, and narrative style of the show
• Develop episode outlines and story arcs for each guest
• Guide the host on interview approach and question development
• Ensure content balances authenticity, responsibility, and impact
• Collaborate with the media and creative team on production direction
• Help identify and shape the types of stories that align with the organization’s mission
• Establish a repeatable system for storytelling and episode production

Qualifications

• Experience in podcast production, journalism, documentary storytelling, or media development
• Strong understanding of narrative structure and story development
• Able to work with sensitive subject matter in a thoughtful and responsible way
• Strategic thinker with the ability to build programs from the ground up
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

• Experience launching or producing a podcast or media series
• Background in social impact, justice reform, or human-centered storytelling
• Experience working with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
