Executive Producer (Creative Production)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Producer (Creative Production) to lead end-to-end production across branded content, advertising, marketing campaigns, photography, video, and integrated creative initiatives. This role requires a senior production leader with deep expertise in creative production, budget management, vendor sourcing, staffing strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has built their career within advertising agencies, production companies, content studios, or leading in-house creative teams and brings a strong network of directors, photographers, editors, production partners, freelancers, and specialized vendors. This individual is a strategic production expert who can independently drive complex projects from concept through delivery while balancing creative excellence, timelines, and financial stewardship. This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional production craft, executive communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Creative Production Leadership
- Serve as the lead production authority for creative projects, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and execution across all content formats.
- Manage end-to-end production for video, photography, digital content, advertising campaigns, branded experiences, and integrated marketing initiatives.
- Partner closely with Creative Directors, Marketing teams, Brand teams, and business stakeholders to bring creative concepts to life.
- Develop production strategies, timelines, staffing models, and execution plans aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline production processes while maintaining high creative standards.
- Stay informed on emerging production technologies, content formats, and industry trends.
- Production & Content Execution
- Lead all phases of production including pre-production, budgeting, planning, location scouting, talent sourcing, shoot management, post-production, and final asset delivery.
- Oversee content creation initiatives such as brand campaigns, social content, product launches, experiential activations, photography shoots, and multimedia marketing assets.
- Manage post-production activities including editorial workflows, motion graphics, visual effects, color correction, audio finishing, and final distribution.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet established quality expectations.
- Vendor, Agency & Talent Management
- Source, evaluate, and manage external agencies, freelancers, production companies, photographers, editors, post-production facilities, and specialized creative vendors.
- Leverage an established professional network to identify the best creative partners for each project.
- Conduct competitive bidding processes and negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements.
- Manage relationships with casting agencies, talent representatives, subject matter experts (SMEs), influencers, and specialized contributors.
- Continuously expand and maintain a high-performing vendor ecosystem capable of supporting projects of varying scope and complexity.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage production budgets from initial estimates through final reconciliation.
- Create staffing plans and resource allocation strategies based on project scope, timelines, and budget requirements.
- Track project financials, forecasts, and production expenses while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure projects remain on budget without compromising creative quality.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, usage rights, licensing agreements, and talent terms.
- Program & Project Management
- Manage multiple concurrent creative projects ranging from large-scale integrated campaigns to rapid-turn social content initiatives.
- Establish project schedules, workflows, communication plans, and production processes.
- Coordinate resources across internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide regular project updates, recommendations, and status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on production strategy, vendor selection, staffing, and budget considerations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of creative production experience within advertising agencies, production companies, content studios, or in-house creative organizations.
- Experience as an Executive Producer, Senior Producer, or similar production leadership role.
- Strong background managing video production, photography shoots, branded content, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proven expertise managing production budgets, forecasts, and financial reconciliation.
- Experience developing staffing plans and resource strategies for creative projects.
- Extensive vendor sourcing, agency management, and contract negotiation experience.
- Established network of production companies, creative agencies, directors, photographers, editors, freelancers, and specialty vendors.
- Ability to independently lead projects with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Creative, Marketing, Brand, and cross-functional business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with consumer, lifestyle, fitness, sports, retail, or other highly visible brands.
- Combination of agency and in-house creative team experience.
- Experience with broadcast advertising production and talent usage agreements.
- Knowledge of emerging production formats, creator-led content, social-first campaigns, interactive experiences, and live productions.
- Experience managing large-scale content creation initiatives with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
