About This Role

As the Executive Medical Director for Clinical Development, marketed MS and NeuroPsychiatry, you will provide scientific and strategic leadership while overseeing asset-specific programs. You will manage 2-4 programs, focusing on key goals such as meeting all post marketing commitments, liaising with cross-functional partners. By collaborating with Regulatory, PDC, Regional and other core functions including across key global regions, your contributions will be integral to the successful development support for marketed programs. You will also contribute to strategy for any follow-up.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide accountability and primary oversight of the execution of multiple portfolio assets
  • Lead activities from clinical perspective and ensure successful management of development aspects of our marketed assets
  • Deliver scientific leadership across trial level DU activities in partnership with various functions
  • Represent Biogen in external collaborations and events as relates to these assets (such as Regulatory discussions and scientific meetings)
  • Act as the DU representative in business development activities if required

Required Skills

  • MD with significant clinical experience; clinical training in internal medicine, neurology or psychiatry is desired
  • At least 10 years of clinical and clinical research experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience and industry experience in clinical late stage clinical development or medical affairs
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
  • Strategic and critical thinking in managing assets through life cycle and with eye towards differing geographies having differing needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and analytical skills

Pay

The base compensation range for this role is: $332,000.00-$423,000.00 Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
