About the role
Supervises assigned staff; Responsible for the effective management and supervision of employees to include preparation of staff schedules, development and utilization of appropriate training and incentive programs. Responsible for development and execution of department budget. Maintains daily communications with other departments. Deals effectively and objectively with subordinates, supervisory and management personnel, guests, union officials, contractors, and other outside contacts. Plans, develops, and implements procedures, policies and programs to ensure timely, consistent, and effective management of housekeeping and laundry services. Responsible for the accuracy of accounting and inventory records, efficient personnel utilization and training, security of property and equipment, and compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.

- Incumbent must be available to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Criteria: Progressive experience which included supervising, leading, or management oversight of custodial workers/housekeepers in a hotel or similar customer service-based residential or guest facility. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of business processes required for budget development and management. Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria above.
Highly Qualified Criteria: Possess a two-year hospitality related associates degree or possession of a CHHE (Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive). Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under both the minimum qualification criteria and highly qualified criteria above to be considered Highly Qualified. Applicants who meet both minimum qualification criteria and highly qualified criteria will be referred to the selecting official for first consideration.

Allowances and Differentials: This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
Access to Certain Federal Facilities: Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver's license/ID (marked with a star) or an Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) from WA, MI, MN, NY, or VT.
