Executive Housekeeper
About the role
Lead all Housekeeping operations, including lodge guestrooms, cabins, villas, treehouses, glamping accommodations, public areas, laundry, and overnight cleaning.
Ensure cleanliness, quality, and brand standards are consistently achieved.
Conduct routine inspections and quality audits.
Lead daily stand-up meetings and communicate operational priorities.
Partner with Front Office and Engineering to maximize room readiness and guest satisfaction.
Forecast labor daily using occupancy, arrivals, departures, group business, and productivity standards.
Maintain payroll and departmental expenses within forecast and budget.
Analyze productivity reports and staffing plans daily.
Review monthly financial statements and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Manage inventory, linen replacement, guest supplies, and capital assets responsibly.
Participate in annual operating and capital budget planning.
Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and retain high-performing associates.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with supervisors.
Develop succession plans and future leaders.
Create an engaged culture through recognition, accountability, and career development.
Reduce turnover through coaching, communication, and associate engagement.
Support seasonal and J-1 associate integration and development.
Drive guest satisfaction and cleanliness scores through consistent execution.
Lead service recovery efforts and respond promptly to guest concerns.
Review guest feedback and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
Partner with Front Office on VIP arrivals, groups, and special requests.
Analyze operational data and trends to improve efficiency and service.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate new technologies.
Partner with Revenue, Sales, Banquets, Spa, and Engineering to support resort goals.
Participate in strategic planning and Manager on Duty responsibilities.
Requirements
Five or more years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in a full-service hotel or resort preferred.
Strong financial acumen and labor management experience.
Experience with property management and housekeeping systems.
Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
