Executive Director, Technology Procurement

For our client, a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space, we are seeking an Executive Director of Technology Procurement to lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. This role works across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities.

Location: Rahway, NJ (US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

• Lead global procurement strategy for various technology categories.
• Partner with senior leaders to align sourcing with business priorities.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and supplier consolidation.
• Oversee enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives and contract execution.
• Negotiate complex global technology agreements to meet business needs.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships for performance and improvement.
• Embed procurement in technology planning to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 15+ years of technology procurement and strategic sourcing experience.
• Strong knowledge of technology vendors and procurement operating models.
• Demonstrated leadership within procurement organizations.
• Proven experience in enterprise technology sourcing and commercial negotiations.
• Strong financial acumen to analyze data and build business cases.
• Experience in managing global projects in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Pay

$231,900 – $365,000 annually.
