Executive Director, R&D Strategy & Operations

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor and chief of staff to the EVP, Head of R&D & CMO.
• Maintain visibility across all R&D functions to identify opportunities and organizational risks.
• Provide synthesis of strategic priorities, risks, and resource allocation.
• Represent the Office of the EVP in cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Support long-range R&D strategy and portfolio planning.
• Improve organizational effectiveness and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead the R&D Leadership Team operating model and governance framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, healthcare, or a related discipline required.
• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MBA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience required.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in R&D strategy, operations, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end drug development lifecycle.

Pay

$246,000 – $332,000 annually
