About the Role

As Executive Director of Development, you will partner directly with the Dean to shape the future of one of the nation's leading schools of education, building philanthropic support for groundbreaking priorities including a new Center for Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship, emerging research and outreach opportunities in the autism and neurodiversity space, innovative health education partnerships with the Indiana University School of Medicine, expanded pathways for aspiring educators.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Dean to shape the future of the Indiana University School of Education
  • Build philanthropic support for transformative initiatives
  • Uncover new philanthropic opportunities
  • Build support for transformational initiatives
  • Foster collaboration across schools, campuses, and disciplines
  • Create a culture where innovation, collaboration, and bold ideas flourish

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success securing major and principal gifts
  • Proven ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Visionary leadership style
  • Experience leading fundraising efforts within a large, complex, matrixed organization
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Eight or more years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, including success securing major and principal gifts
  • Four or more years of progressive leadership and people management experience

Pay

$120,000 - $125,000

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
