About the Role

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking an experienced, visionary, and community-focused leader to serve as the Executive Director of the Northpark YMCA. This role offers a rare opportunity to lead one of our most established branches through a transformational expansion and revitalization project, significantly increasing the YMCA's impact in the community.

The Northpark YMCA is entering an exciting chapter, with Fort Worth voters recently approving a $5 million city bond investment toward its expansion. The YMCA will raise an additional $5 million through a community capital campaign, and the Executive Director will play a critical leadership role in local fundraising, donor cultivation, and community partnerships. This position also involves operational leadership throughout the planning, design, construction, and transition phases of the expansion while ensuring the branch continues to deliver an exceptional member experience.

The Northpark YMCA offers a Wellness Center, Group Exercise Studio, Aquatics, Child Watch, Youth Sports, Summer Day Camp, Swim Lessons, and a variety of programs that strengthen youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct high-quality member engagement strategies and programs to support branch membership growth and Association goals.
• Represent and promote the YMCA in the local community, developing positive working relationships with organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies in the service delivery area.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and direct employees and volunteers; review and evaluate staff performance.
• Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
• Manage and monitor assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets; recommend budget adjustments and submit reports on current operations.
• Work with diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure "For All" in communities and staffing.
• Establish plans for the expansion of programs and services in alignment with YMCA objectives and leadership team goals.
• Provide staff support for assigned committees and lead the annual support campaign.
• Ensure the maintenance of branch facilities and properties to high standards of safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a member of YMCA management and support the overall objectives of the YMCA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
• YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification preferred (can be obtained during employment).
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required.
• High energy, "can-do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and a high degree of initiative.
• Proven ability to direct programs through staff and volunteer leadership, budget development and monitoring, program marketing, and fundraising.
• Track record of building authentic relationships and establishing collaborations with community organizations.
• Ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
