Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and management of the safety physician team for therapeutic area assessments
- Oversee safety activities for assigned compounds and chair the Safety Management Team
- Approve aggregate safety review documents and clinical trial safety sections
- Evaluate and manage safety signals from various data sources, ensuring proper documentation
- Drive the development and adoption of innovative pharmacovigilance processes within the organization
- Support postmarketing safety activities and lifecycle safety strategy for marketed compounds
Qualifications
- MD or equivalent required; postgraduate qualification in internal medicine, immunology, oncology, or related speciality preferred
- 7+ years in pharmacovigilance or relevant pharmaceutical/biomedical field strongly preferred; management experience is also preferred
- Experience in clinical research, observational research, or clinical practice is considered relevant
