About the role

This role reports to the VP of Strategic Sourcing and is responsible for leading Global Strategic Sourcing for the Professional Services and Marketing categories, the India Sourcing organization, and developing a Global Sourcing Center of Excellence. The Executive Director will establish the global vision, operating model, and transformation roadmap, partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (Global Platform Group, Finance, Legal, Ops, HR, etc.) to deliver enterprise-wide impact across cost, risk, innovation, and supplier value. Within the first year, the Executive Director is expected to establish the operating foundation, demonstrate early savings wins, and deliver a clear roadmap to drive value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global sourcing for the Professional Services and Marketing categories, managing over $150M in global annual spend.
  • Develop and execute global category strategies, segmenting suppliers by value tier and aligning sourcing plans to business priorities and market dynamics.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and negotiate best-in-class agreements using should-cost models, RFPs, and advanced analytics to reduce total cost of ownership and deliver year-over-year savings targets.
  • Manage supplier performance through defined SLAs, KPI scorecards, and structured business reviews, driving continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to deliver value across cost, quality, service levels, risk, and innovation, aligning supplier capabilities with business needs.
  • Monitor and mitigate supply risk using market intelligence, inflation mitigation strategies, and escalation/de-escalation mechanisms to ensure supply continuity and competitive pricing.
  • Lead and manage the India Sourcing team:
    • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development, setting clear objectives, performance expectations, and career development plans.
    • Define and align the team’s scope, workload, and priorities with the global sourcing strategy.
    • Partner with India-based leadership and HR to navigate local labor practices, compliance, and organizational norms while integrating the team into the global operating model.
    • Drive capability building through training, process standardization, and adoption of global tools and best practices.
    • Establish and track team KPIs, including sourcing cycle times, savings delivery, contract coverage, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Lead the development of a Global Sourcing Center of Excellence:
    • Create a Global Center of Excellence to implement best-in-class standards in processes, systems/tools, data, analytics, and reporting.
    • Develop and implement best-practice processes for strategic sourcing, category strategy, supplier performance management, contract development, cost savings tracking, and project updates.
    • Standardize processes across all Global Sourcing categories and stakeholders globally.
    • Leverage AI, robotics, and automation to streamline key processes.
    • Fully utilize existing systems and tools to provide global data, analytics, and advanced capabilities for performance tracking and compliance.
    • Evaluate, secure approval for, and implement new systems/tools as needed.
    • Create an analysis and reporting center of excellence, including a central repository for key data, KPI reporting, performance dashboards, savings tracking, and supplier scorecards.
    • Develop and implement a Global Sourcing Playbook to enable non-Sourcing stakeholders to conduct key sourcing activities (e.g., RFPs) for small or low-complexity initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Procurement, or equivalent; MBA a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience with increasing leadership responsibilities, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Strong Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management skills.
  • Excellent business acumen, financial modeling, data analysis, and root-cause problem-solving skills.
  • Experience negotiating complex contracts, including strategic partnerships, pricing, SLAs, and other terms.
  • Ability to track and manage supplier performance and set improvement expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and implement solutions for customers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes, business requirements, and process improvement.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deploy, sustain, and improve tools, people, and processes.
  • Ability to work with executives and operational stakeholders in a global matrixed environment to execute complex initiatives.
  • Highly self-motivated, consultative, and enthusiastic with a continuous improvement mindset; ability to drive change and challenge the status quo.
  • Proactive, well-organized, logical, and creative thinker with a strong results orientation and track record of delivering outcomes.
  • Strong presentation, written communication, and influencing skills; ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent training, facilitation, time, and project management skills.
  • Proven track record of integrity, sound judgment, and organization-building success.
  • Occasional travel required, up to 25% of the time.

Pay

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $206,900.00 - $372,400.00 per year. The range reflects potential annual base pay for all roles; the applicable range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on factors such as role complexity, job duties, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and updated annually, with offers typically made within the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of the range at hire.

Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonuses, sales incentives, and long-term incentives, allocated based on position level and individual performance.
