About the role

The Executive Director will oversee all operations of the Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, including administration, management, development, and financial control. They will provide primary staff support to the Board of Commissioners and collaborate with the Board and senior management team on developing policies and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations of the Housing Authority, including administration, management, development, and financial control
• Provide primary staff support to the Board of Commissioners
• Collaborate with the Board and senior management team on developing policies and strategies
• Work with the Board and senior management team on the development of all policies affecting the Housing Authority, including strategic initiatives, sound business planning, and management

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of housing authority operations and policies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience working with boards and committees

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., urban planning, public policy, business administration)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position within a housing authority or related field
• Experience in strategic planning and management
