Executive Communications Specialist

As the Executive Communications Specialist, you’ll support communications, events, and other engagements for the Best Buy CEO and other members of the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, write, and execute daily and weekly employee engagement briefings for top executives, including the CEO.
  • Execute timely opportunities for executive employee engagement, such as drafting leader notes or composing LinkedIn posts.
  • Provide support for executives and other leaders for internal enterprise events and meetings.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop topics and agendas for enterprise events.
  • Create visually engaging PowerPoint decks for various events and audiences.
  • Prepare and present briefing documents, speaking notes, and/or speeches for officer- and executive-level leaders.
  • Correspond with internal and external stakeholders, representing Best Buy and leaders professionally through written, verbal, and in-person communication.
  • Protect and enhance the Best Buy reputation and brand through written and presented deliverables.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, media relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience managing small-to-medium-sized projects.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to complete tasks accurately within deadlines.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion.
  • Proficiency in visual communication software (Adobe, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience creating communications for C-Suite executives.
  • 1 year of experience working cross-functionally.

Schedule

This role is hybrid, requiring on-site work Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You may work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday.
