About the role
The Executive Chef of Ember & Rye will oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, provisioning, food preparation, and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Experience training food prep employees
- Instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
- Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation
- Ensure adherence to quality, portion control, and plate presentation standards
- Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- 6+ years of progressive hotel culinary experience (typically with Hyatt)
- With opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
- At least 4 years experience in a senior role in a culinary environment
- Proven leadership skills
- High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high-volume properties
- Effective communicator, exceptional customer service, and associate relations
- Able to improve the bottom line
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
Pay
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
