About the role

The Executive Chef of Ember & Rye will oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, provisioning, food preparation, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Experience training food prep employees
  • Instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
  • Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation
  • Ensure adherence to quality, portion control, and plate presentation standards
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds
  • 6+ years of progressive hotel culinary experience (typically with Hyatt)
  • With opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • At least 4 years experience in a senior role in a culinary environment
  • Proven leadership skills
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high-volume properties
  • Effective communicator, exceptional customer service, and associate relations
  • Able to improve the bottom line
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills

Pay

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
