About the role

The role is responsible for managing the culinary department, ensuring food quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee kitchen staff and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement new menu items based on guest feedback and trends.
  • Manage inventory and budgeting for the culinary department.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include leading the hospitality team in creating a welcoming environment for guests.

  • Train and mentor the hospitality team to provide exceptional service.
  • Ensure all guest requests are met promptly and courteously.
  • Coordinate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

The engineering team manages the ship's systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of all mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Implement energy-saving measures to reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate with the captain and crew to address any technical issues that arise.

The marine team is responsible for maintaining the ship's exterior and ensuring its cleanliness and safety.

  • Plan and execute regular cleaning schedules for the deck and interior areas.
  • Inspect the ship's hull and decks for damage and perform necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with the captain and crew to ensure the ship remains seaworthy.

The entertainment team plans and executes various activities to enrich the guest experience.

  • Organize onboard events such as concerts, movie nights, and cultural performances.
  • Develop and promote special offers and promotions for guests.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to bring in unique entertainment options.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in their field.

  • Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in a similar role on cruise ships preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Technical skills in culinary, hospitality, engineering, and marine fields.
