EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (FULL TIME DAYS) ADMINISTRATION
The Administrative Assistant at Summerlin Hospital provides support and performs a wide variety of confidential administrative duties within a 496-bed facility offering emergency services, maternity care (450+ deliveries/month), a Children’s Medical Center (NICU, pediatric ICU, pediatric ER), advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility, a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines awards. As part of The Valley Health System (VHS)—a network of six hospitals in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada—this role supports a collaborative, evidence-based practice model focused on exemplary patient care, performance improvement, and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform confidential administrative duties, including handling highly sensitive information.
- Provide executive-level support with tasks such as transcribing minutes and managing documentation.
- Utilize computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Adhere to the UHS Service Excellence Program standards: treating everyone as a guest, demonstrating professionalism, and practicing teamwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; two years of Business College preferred.
- Five years of secretarial experience, with at least two years as an Executive Secretary or Administrative Assistant.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to take and transcribe minutes accurately.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
