About the role
The Wake County's Public Health team is currently seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant with administrative support of senior leadership and customer service experience in a Public Health or Human Services setting.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain an organized filing system for electronic and hard copy documents and assist with managing and gathering documentation for accreditation and other required activities.
- Absorb and gather documentation for accreditation and other required activities.

- Manage and monitor Public Health Director and other leadership team member's calendar - deconflict meeting times, ensuring information needed to attend meetings is prepared and disseminated.

Requirements
- The Executive Assistant must have a high school diploma or GED.
- The Executive Assistant must have four years of administrative/office support experience.
- Strong preference: Administrative support and customer service experience in a Public Health or Human Services or related environment.
- Strong preference: Four years or more administrative support and customer service experience (office management experience a plus).
- Bachelor's in Business Administration or related degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
- Five years or more for supporting an Executive level type position.
- Proven record of competence in time management, planning and problem solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (skills will be evaluated upon interview).
Qualifications

- Ability to analyze written information to determine importance of correspondence.
- Ability to use software programs in support of supervisor’s report, presentations, and other types of communication.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling information and materials.
- Ability to be flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, assignments, and other interruptions which may impact pre-established timelines for completing assignments.
- Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet business needs (e.g. Microsoft Office, internet).
