Exceptional Education Teacher - Direct Link (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the role

This position with the Direct Link Program includes travel to students' homes, providing instruction on Zoom and at school sites to effectively manage the learning environment for students with moderate to severe disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of lesson plans
  • Instructing students
  • Evaluating and monitoring students’ performance to advance student achievement
  • Understanding and appreciating diversity while working collaboratively with a team to plan instruction
  • Demonstrating commitment to continuous learning

Requirements

  • Azizonia Standard Professional Moderate/Severe Disability Certificate, K-12 OR Arizona Special Education Certificate K-12 - Mild-Moderate WITH Moderate/Severe Disabilities Endorsement, PreK-12 OR Arizona Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle Grades OR Secondary Certificate WITH Moderate/Severe Disabilities Endorsement, PreK-12
  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Prior To Start Date: Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
  • MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
  • Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

  • Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
