Responsibilities

• Acts as a mandated reporter for student safety
• Adapts classroom activities under teacher direction

• Communicates with supervising staff and professionals
• Escorts students to various destinations
• Implements research-based interventions
• Intervenes in conflicts using appropriate approaches
• Maintains a safe and positive learning environment
• Supervises students in various settings
• Participates in emergency drills and actual emergencies
• Collects and maintains data on student IEP goals

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education
• An associate degree (or higher)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Win - Copy of Win Assessment (minimum of Silver: Level 4 or higher)
• Work Keys - Passing scores on three areas of Work Keys Assessment (Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, Writing)
• ParaPro - Passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro
