Position Information
This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Exceptional Education Regional Administrator.
Compensation
Base pay is anticipated to be between $40,079 and $45,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

Share Your Expertise
- Provides academic support to help students meet the goals of individual learning plans to include those on IEP, Gifted, English Language learner plans, and also students receiving services through Section 504.
- Maintains active educator credentials, certifications, and mandatory clearances.
- Collaborates with the general education teacher of record on learning interventions to promote student success.
- Reinforces positive behavioral goals and academic citizenship.
- Uses performance data to determine interventions and make recommendations to further support the learning goals of individual students through teacher input forms and IEP, 504, GLP, and/or ELP team meetings.
- Participates in continuous professional development activities as required.
Experience, Education, and Qualifications Essential for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and 2 years of work experience in a classroom setting, assessing learner’s strengths and choosing appropriate strategies for an enriched learning experience.
- Valid, active teaching license in at least one state for one or more the following areas: Special Education, Gifted, English Language Learners, or other special needs area.
- Two years or more experience working with students with disabilities or needing specialized supports.
- Highly qualified teacher status that meets or exceeds NCLB’s requirements.
- Experience facilitating online courses is recommended although not required.
- Successful experience working with elementary and secondary at-risk students and students with special needs.
- Awareness of learner strengths to choose appropriate strategies for an enriched learning experience.
- Experience with using Genius SIS, Edgenuity and/or Odysseyware products and services is a plus.
- Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and remotely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, online video chat (and other web conferencing systems) and database software.
- Ability to learn new technology and online systems quickly.
