Excel Specialist (Remote)
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Excel Expert to work on a contract basis. The role involves creating and maintaining complex financial models, automating reporting processes, and ensuring data accuracy across financial systems. You will support cross-functional teams by delivering high-quality spreadsheets and dashboards that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain sophisticated Excel financial models, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
- Develop automated reporting solutions using Excel VBA macros and Power Query to reduce manual effort.
- Validate and cleanse financial data to ensure integrity and consistency across datasets.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to translate business requirements into functional spreadsheet solutions.
- Document processes, formulas, and assumptions to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
- Experience writing and debugging VBA macros to automate repetitive tasks.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling principles and Excel’s Power Query/Pivot tools.
- Able to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional spreadsheet solutions.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial data and calculations.
