Excavation Helper/ Laborer

About the role

ARS Rescue Rooter, located in Pacific, Washington, is a national service leader seeking an Excavation/Helper Laborer to support sewer, water, and gas line repairs for residential and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a backhoe or shovel to dig for sewer, water, and gas line repairs per job requirements
• Break concrete to prepare digging areas
• Provide assistance to technicians during repairs
• Backfill holes and grade, clean, seed, and repair areas after service
• Remove old sewer lines for new system installation
• Check lines for proper flow before leaving the work site
• Obtain customer approvals for completed work
• Maintain and fuel vehicles and stock service trucks with parts
• Transport materials and tools to job sites and account for tools
• Complete required documentation and may collect/record fees for office delivery

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience or training may be substituted
• Heavy equipment operation skills and ability to dig with a shovel
• Valid driver’s license and strong communication skills
