Excavating General Labor

About the Role

This role supports excavation crews with foundation preparation, pipe installation, grading, and general site labor. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and able to follow direction in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shooting grades for house foundations and verifying elevation accuracy
• Help lay pipe, glue pipe sections, and support utility installation
• Rake and level the tops of sand mounds to meet project specifications
• Perform continuous shoveling, raking, and other physically demanding labor
• Carry, load, and stage materials to support excavator and heavy equipment operators
• Complete hand-digging, trenching, and grading using shovels and hand tools
• Maintain clean, organized job sites including debris removal and end-of-day cleanup
• Adapt to changing tasks and follow instructions from site supervisors
• Support pipe laying, backfilling, and other excavation-related tasks
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and job-site safety standards
• Perform additional labor tasks as assigned; duties and job sites may vary daily
