About the Company

Mr. Dobbie began his career with Dowco Consultants Ltd. shortly after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia in 1990. Since then, he has managed the Company’s Construction Technology Software Division and led global 3D modeling, detailing, and BIM services operations.

Drawing on a diverse background and hands-on experience, he has positioned the Dowco Group as a leading global provider of comprehensive, end-to-end pre-construction services for clients in design, construction, construction management, and related fields.

Mr. Dobbie is a frequent presenter and speaker at major construction industry trade associations, particularly on topics such as BIM and evolving design and construction processes and workflows. He is widely regarded as one of the leading BIM thought leaders in the AEC industry.

Over the past decade, his vision for Dowco has been to build a global IT-enabled company specializing in 3D construction modeling, detailing, pre-construction, and BIM services, with the ability to mobilize cost-effective project resources worldwide to collaborate in real time via the ‘Project Cloud.’
