About the role

The Environmental Service Technician I (Housekeeper) maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment throughout the facility. Responsibilities include adhering to OSHA Federal Register Rules & Regulations, Porter Medical Center Infection Control Policies & Procedures, and ES Department Policies & Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated areas.
• Follow infection control policies to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with co-workers and other department team members as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Ability to submit records of accomplished work.
• Confidentiality and good public relations skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Basic computer skills for record keeping and communication.

Pay

$20.50 - 30.46/hr. based on experience.

Schedule

Shift differentials up to $6.00/hr. available.
