EVS Tech - Day Shift

About the role

The position involves performing all project work assigned, including but not limited to stripping & refinishing hard floors, bonneting & extracting carpets, waste handling & transport, supply distribution & handling, wall washing, patient and nonpatient area cleaning as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance for hard floors and carpeted areas.
• Set-up and break down areas for catering functions.
• Removal and replacement of cubicle curtains and window drapes.
• Perform removal of waste and bio-hazardous waste from point of origin to proper disposal site.
• Performs cleaning duties in patient and nonpatient areas including but not limited to restrooms, wall washing, window blinds, bed making, and other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work with chemicals.
• Experience operating an auto scrubber, a vacuum and wet/dry vacuum.
• Experience operating high and slow speed buffing machines.
• Experience operating spin bonnets and extracting carpets.
• Knowledge of floor care maintenance and handling of regulated/non-regulated waste.
• Work with others collaboratively, cooperatively and in the spirit of teamwork.

$16.60hr starting (union contract)
