About the role
Part-time position with 8-hour night shifts at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections.
- Properly dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
- Restock supplies such as gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
- Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
- Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently.
Qualifications
- One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices, and procedures preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively.
