Duties And Responsibilities
- Projects a positive image
- Greets all guests in corridors
- Actively coaches, mentors and develops employees
- Performs weekly audits of employee performance
- Affords assistance with auditions, interviewing and hiring
- Generates daily assignments for employees
- Performs property inspections, documenting as required
- Checks and reports area statuses as needed
- Inventories and orders departmental supplies
- Creates work schedules; Manages employee timesheet
- Acts as “Manager on duty” representing the casino in resolving guest conflict for the property
- Keeps staff informed of all pertinent information
- Liaises with other departments as operational issues arise
- Generates shift reports recording key statistics and incidents
- Limits the number of accidents and injuries by promoting job safety
- Approves or denies PTO requests
Job Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Associate’s Degree in Related field– required
- Two (2) years’ Supervisory experience– required
- One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department– required
- Two (2) years’ experience in the hiring position’s Department- required
- One (1) year of experience in an EVS, custodial or housekeeping position- required
- Experience in customer relations or guest services- preferred
- Must participate in computer basics training course within one (1) year
- Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
- Must participate in departmental training (ex: hard surface, carpet surface, etc.)
- Must obtain certification in lift training annually
- Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals
- Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work
- Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds up to two (2) hours
- Must be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areas
- Good writing and verbal communication skills required (skills test may be administered)
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
- Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
- Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
Base Pay Compensation
- Compensation: $33.40–$27.60 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills
