About the role
The EVS Supervisor is responsible for directing and performing the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department at the Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino. This position supports and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Casino.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and manage staff to ensure team members receive adequate guidance and resources to achieve established objectives.
- Assign routine and non-routine job functions to departmental team members; manage time and attendance for all team members.
- Observe and direct the actions of subordinates.
- Aid in the duties and responsibilities of the EVS Attendant as needed.
- Maintain a good public relations image for other property departments and guests.
- Carry out training programs as new methods or techniques are adopted by the department.
- Maintain departmental cleanliness standards using an inspection process throughout all assigned areas of responsibility and observe and correct any work-related deficiencies.
- Establish, implement, and monitor department objectives, standards, guidelines, and other administrative processes to achieve proper supervision of the department.
- Perform various administrative duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager.
- Communicate effectively with guests as well as team members at all levels within STRC.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of leadership experience in an Environmental Services Department or related field required.
- Must have experience working with the public and demonstrate exceptional guest service.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of cleaning tools, chemicals, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of time and attendance systems, Microsoft Office suite applications, MSDS, OSHA processing, protocols, and requirements.
- Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise, smoke, and temperature levels.
Qualifications
- Gaming License Required.
