EVS Supervisor

About the role

Plan, organize, and supervise work activities of Environmental Service personnel to ensure a clean, orderly environment in the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage Environmental Service personnel to maintain a clean and organized hospital environment.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures related to environmental services.
• Oversee daily tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing patient rooms and common areas.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and meet patient needs.
• Train and mentor Environmental Service personnel to improve their skills and efficiency.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and address issues related to environmental services promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of cleaning experience or six months of supervising a cleaning crew.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours including 2nd shift.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and moving equipment and supplies.

Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
