Job Description

As the EVS Manager, you play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests and team members. In this position, you will lead the EVS team by overseeing staffing, daily operations, cleanliness standards, and compliance.

Your ability to foster team performance, uphold health and safety protocols, and drive service excellence directly supports the overall guest experience and organizational efficiency.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing the EVS team, ensuring they meet high standards of cleanliness and safety, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for cleaning tasks.
  • Develop and implement cleaning procedures and standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and illnesses.
  • Train and mentor the EVS team on cleaning techniques, safety measures, and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding sanitation and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address any issues that may arise during the cleaning process.
  • Conduct regular inspections of cleaning areas to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve conflicts and improve team dynamics.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability and proper usage.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for new hires.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with team members and guests.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality or similar industry.
  • Experience in managing a housekeeping department or similar cleaning operations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cleaning and safety.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $X - $Y per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Hours are typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend and evening shifts required.
