EVS Manager 3rd Shift

We are seeking a 3rd Shift Environmental Services (EVS) Manager at Memorial Hermann‑Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. The EVS Manager will manage associates in the Environmental Services department under the oversight of the Unit Director, serve as a liaison between hospital departments and Environmental Services, and ensure the highest possible level of service.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff selection process and interview candidates as needed.
• Schedule days off, holidays, and vacations, ensuring coverage aligns with hours and position control.
• Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
• Conduct quality‑assurance checks and manage materials inventory and equipment usage.
• Ensure staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
• Provide individual guidance and motivation to enable each associate to perform to their fullest potential.
• Discipline associates when necessary according to progressive disciplinary guidelines.
• Prepare associate disciplinary and variance reports, conduct follow‑up investigations, and report findings to the Department Director.
• Prepare disciplinary action notices and conduct follow‑up as required, including disciplinary meetings with guidance from the Department Director.
• Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive, and orderly.
• Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Employees in healthcare must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 (unless a legally required medical or religious exemption applies) and must report vaccination status and upload proof via a secure online portal.
• Strong leadership skills and experience leading and managing a team.
• Customer‑service mindset and strong service/quality attitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work some differing shifts (3rd shift position).
• Proficiency with Windows‑based office software.
